Adobe Illustrator or InDesign are my tools for vector illustrations.

 

These campus and dorm room illustrations are part of a university orientation booklet. I looked at architectural drawings, took photos of the campus, and made sketches. These were freelance work that led to a permanent position.

 

I created the spark plug, wrench, and many similar illustrations for an auto parts distributor. The drawings of electrical connections are part of an installation guide.

 

Often illustrations can highlight details of a dark, non-reflective item better than a photo, and may be faster and less expensive than arranging a photo shoot.

I am proud of these illustrations. During my first day with Adobe Illustrator, I struggled to draw a circle! I kept learning and practicing until I could get work with my Illustrator skills.
